Adjunct Professor
Northwestern University, School of Law

Every year from 1995 to the present, in addition to practicing law full time, Mr. Harper has held the appointment of adjunct professor of law at Northwestern University School of Law. According to the annual ranking of graduate schools, conducted by U.S. News & World Report, Northwestern is ranked in the top ten of all law schools in the United States. (read the article).

As an adjunct professor, he works with Northwestern's distinguished faculty and teaches trial advocacy skills to law students during weekly classes every Fall Term.

The National Institute for Trial Advocacy

Every year from 1994 to the present, and also in addition to practicing law full time, Mr. Harper has served on the teaching faculty of The National Institute for Trial Advocacy (NITA).

NITA is a nationally renowned, not-for-profit organization, dedicated to teaching practicing lawyers how to become better trial lawyers. NITA offers its services to law firms in private, in-house training programs; and NITA also offers its services to the general public in regional programs. Mr. Harper teaches in both programs as a faculty member and a faculty team leader, in locations around the country. His training areas include depositions, expert depositions, direct and cross examination, fact investigation, and general trial advocacy.

In March 2009, Mr. Harper was interviewed by NITA regarding various topics related to his practice and his experience training other lawyers. A copy of that interview appears in the March 2009 Edition of NITA Notes, and is available at NITA's website. (read the interview).
