Background

The Law Office of Douglas B. Harper
1998 - present

From 1998 to the present, Mr. Harper has operated his own law office, handling business lawsuits and representing innocent prisoners. His office provides something more substantial in his life than simply a job or a career. His office lets him direct the purpose of his practice.

In retrospect, his prior years as a lawyer had been spent acquiring trial skills and trusting his employer to choose the cases that would let him apply those skills to perform meaningful work. Now, he chooses the cases, himself. He decides where to focus his legal resources.

For Mr. Harper, it is not enough to strive merely to be a good lawyer or even an excellent lawyer. His goal is to provide the highest quality legal services, apply them to the most challenging and worthwhile cases, and represent his clients with compassion, all at a fair and reasonable rate. This goal is the reason he practices law and it is the purpose of his office.
